Is Mary Hare School a suitable choice for my child?
After discussions with you about your child, and following one or more visits, we will carry out a non-verbal assessment of your son or daughter.
Candidates for entry at year 7 should be between ten and eleven years old. However, we are happy to take children at later years. Pupils can also enter Mary Hare School at Sixth Form.
Pupils wishing to transfer to the School during the course of their secondary education are invited to attend the school fo r a trial placement of up to one week's duration. During that time the pupil's performance in class and achievements of standardised assessments enable the School to make a decision on placement.
Visits & Open Day
We hold an annual Open Day for famlies to come and look round the School. The next Open Day is on Monday 3rd May 2010 (Bank Holiday). If you would like to attend please contact us or download an application form using the link on the right.
Additionally each family is encouraged to pay an individual visit to the School: a morning visit followed by lunch usually allows an interested family to address all their questions about placement.
