Parent Teacher Association
Welcome everyone to the home page of the Mary Hare PTA.
We are an active PTA who work closely with the school to enhance the lives of all our children. The Committee is made up of a parent representative from each year group plus a Deaf parent representative, as well as one each from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. There are also representatives from the care staff and teaching staff and a member of the Senior management team. The committee meets four times a year and the broad spectrum of people that make up the committee ensures that we are able to have a clear picture of the issues that matter to the children, staff and parents. We are also committed to supporting parents of new children in the school and ensuring that any parent who wishes to talk to someone can.
The PTA are active in several fund raising events throughout the year and we are then able to spend any funds raised directly on the children.

PTA Events
The PTA organizes various events throughout the year including the following:
- An AGM with family BBQ in September, when the annual Grand Draw is held
- A Christmas Hamper Draw (held at the Christmas show)
- 200 club (details will be available from September of each academic year)
- Support for interested parents at the School Open Day (May)
- Refreshments at Sports’ Day
- Leavers Lunch (June each year with the yearbook part funded by the PTA)
- Grand Draw tickets will be on sale until the AGM 27th September 2009
- Support for Year 7 parents on their first day and at their Consultation Day
